Terms and Conditions

  • The Design Entrepreneur Awards (“Awards”) is organised and administered by Good Design Australia.
  • Entries must be at a conceptual stage and must not be in any form of commercial production or available for sale on the market.
  • Entrants understand that information provided as part of the entry will be published on the Design Entrepreneur Awards website.
  • Entrants understand that supporting material such as a model/prototype, high quality images, rendering and videos that highlight the design features of the entry may be required for judging and promotional purposes.
  • Entrants understand that the entry, images and any promotional material relating to their entry may be used for the purposes for promoting design and innovation and that they may be contacted by authorised representatives of the Awards including the media.
  • Entrants warrant that the information supplied in or in relation to an entry is correct and complete and that any personal information provided will be used in accordance with Good Design Australia’s Privacy Policy.
  • Entrants accept that the Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Employees of Good Design Australia, CtechBA or agencies working on behalf of the Awards are not permitted to enter the Awards.
  • Entrants have the sole responsibility to secure adequate IP protection for a project which is being entered before submission is made and published in the public domain.
  • Entrants warrant that the design is their original and individual work and that that he/she is the legal owner of all intellectual property in relation to the entry.
  • Good Design Australia is not responsible for obtaining or verifying any intellectual property rights relating to the entrant or project being entered.
  • Entrants agree to indemnify all parties involved in the Awards including Good Design Australia, CtechBA and the judging panel against any third party claims that could arise from a project being entered into the Awards.
  • Projects submitted by entrants must not feature obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane, violent statements or images, contextually offensive, discriminatory statements or images.
  • Projects submitted by entrants created using unauthorised, pirated copies of computer software will not be accepted.
  • Entries must be received by the closing date unless stated otherwise by the Good Design Australia.
  • Entrants understand that if they are in breach of the Terms and Conditions of Entry, their submission will be withdrawn and they may be liable for any costs associated as a result of action taken.
  • Good Design Australia reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice
